Our Red and Black Raspberries

🌿Raspberries and Black Caps

This spring we finally organized our raspberries and transplanted some black caps (aka. black raspberries) to rows.
Before this spring we did not have rows, just a huge patch with very unorganized plants and lots of weeds (pesky thistles).

We have a very nice harvest this year.

  1. Hi Kade- This is Karen Nice job with your blog and photos! You are making me hungry. :)
We saw people picking berries in Superior National Forest yesterday. A nice great grandpa aged man taught me about June berries and blueberries. He was picking June berries to make jam and pies. Those berries were really good red with a little bit of a nut flavor (almond). Wish we had a way to store them so we could have brought some home.

  2. We were just on vacation and there were lots of wild blackberries. By the way, have you heard of thimble berries? They are kind of like big raspberries. Search for pictures. They usually grow up north and are really good!
